- 1933-45 - The time period of the Holocaust
- July 7, 1937- Japan invades China.
- August 23, 1939 - Non-Aggression Pact between Hitler and Stalin. Known as the Molotov-ribbentop Pact, Germany and the USSR agree to have peace. This pact also secretly included Hitler and Stalin's division of Poland for their own use.
- September 1, 1939 - First Blitzkrieg attack launched on Poland
- June 22, 1940 - France surrendered to Germany.
- June 22, 1941 - Called Operation Barbarossa, Germany invades Russia in order for Hitler to conquer Soviet land.
- January 20, 1942- The Wannsee Conference was a meeting to discuss the plans of the Final Solution, which was Hitler's plan to rid Germany of Jews.
- August 23, 1942- The Battle of Stalingrad. War between Germany and the Soviet Union, who also won the battle by stopping Germany from advancing into their territory. It is also one of the bloodiest wars in history.
- May 8, 1945- V-E Day is the day which the Allies in Europe declare victory.
- August 14, 1945- V-J Day is the day which Japan surrenders to the United States, though not formally until september 2, 1945. Their surrender was forced by the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
